Work diligently and confidently.  Trust me, it gets easier. One distraction is if you have a problem signing up. (In other words, do not procrastinate).  If this occurs, work through it..more than likely it will only take a few minutes.  Another drawback (especially if you are a free member) is the wait for the payout after your request the money could be anywhere from instant to 30 days. Now if it is thirty days and you worked for 30 days, that means is 60 days before your 1st return - ok patience is required - you have patience; just use it. This is the worst case - I just want you to be in the know, ok?  Some of these sites state longer timeframes for payouts to cover themselves.  I received payment within 1 hour of a site saying it could take up to 7 days.

More Tips:
Avoid Distractions: Be careful when ptc's advertise other sites/make sure you can stay focused with your ptc goals and your business you may have already invested in.
Click half of your time and advertise for referrals half your time. 
Most sites require you to click on 4 or 5 ads a day to get paid the next day on your referrals clicks.

You should soon get (if you don't already have) a Sense of Urgency about working. 

Consider NOT upgrading until you have made money with these sites Unless there is a special promotion or after you have gotten referrals. One more thing before you go clicking away, things change that we have no control over.  For example, let’s say I highly recommend a site and then they have server problems.  Such is life.  Just move on and look for the site later and realize it may have just gone away.  I normally have keen in-site but hind-site is the only true 20/20 (lol). 
Consider accumulating more than the minimum before cashing out as some PTC sites charge fees and AlertPay charges a fee.
Targeted advertising by country at PTCs is very effective. Choose attractive subjects.
